In the winter of 2005, South Side members decided to construct a 3D bow course that would be open to the public. The course planning and layout was started in March and by September we had an established trail system with 28 (plus) sites and a rest station (located in the center of the course). Each site contains a 3-D target that best represents the habitat the animal would be found in. The trail system meanders through various forest types and topographical aspects to give the ultimate hunting type scenarios. Deer, bear, coyote, fox, turkey, wolf, goat, and bobcat are some of the target offerings.

Shooters have several categories in which to shoot in. The categories are Top gun, Open, Traditional, Woman, Youth and Cub.

At the end of the course try your skills with a bonus shot at a bull elk located somewhere on the 100 yard range. The shooter tries his or her skill shot from our elevated trap house.

A kitchen facility is there to offer hamburgers, hot dogs and soft drinks.

Whether you shoot for score against others or you shoot against yourself, South Side's course will offer you that great outdoor experience and challenge your whole family can enjoy.
